The city of Glasgow lays claim to a rich road transport heritage which is both fascinating and unique. Home to one of the UK's largest tramway networks, it was also the country's last new trolleybus operator from 1949, making it a mecca for road transport enthusiasts. This album features various aspects of the beautiful city of Glasgow.

I have been waiting ages for this book and it was worth the wait. I love books about old Glasgow as I cycle down some of the streets featured in this book and it's amazing when you see how they used to look.

I bought this as part of a wedding anniversary present for two friends who love the city.If I had picked Bygone Glasgow up in a bookshop, I would instantly have seen that it is mainly just a collection of old tram and bus pictures and I would have dropped it pretty quickly to move on to some other title, but here on Amazon I was swayed by the other, very positive reviews. If you are an anorak who can't get enough of Glasgow Corporation transport, you'll love this. If you are looking for bygone pictures of Glasgow , you will be bitterly disappointed, as I am.

This was bought for an elderly relative and in the end I loathed to give it up! The pictures were fascinating, not loads of text to get in the way. Possibly one of the best Glasgow photo books I have seen. If you like pictures of old Glasgow of times and places you may recognise then I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Its really a street tram/bus scene picture paperback. Nothing wrong with that of course, but as previously commented misleading title. But to be honest I sort of knew what it was probably going to be !!ITS A TRAM BOOK. If U like Glasgow trams, .... youll like this.Col.

One of the best books i have ever bought. The memories that came back were amazing, i could almost get lost in some of the photos. Definately worth the money.
